This season David Beckham was revealed as the new face of Belstaff when he launched the new flagship store in London, Bond Street. When asked about the brand Beckham said:
“The reasons I am excited about becoming part of this brand are A) Because it is such an historical, British brand and B) Because Steve McQueen was one of the first people to be part of Belstaff and I am a huge fan of his. Just to be part of this, as a biker, is great: after so many years of playing football I now spend a lot of time riding bikes. And to have clothes like that is great.”
Belstaff has definitely made its mark on the film industry and celebrities can be regularly spotted wearing their favourite style.
Here we have a look at the brand’s biggest fans, and some of the key films the jackets have featured in…

Now we all love a good celebrity wedding, you guys might not care much for them but I know us ladies can’t wait to get the OK magazine and see what to see the pictures of the latest celebrity wedding bash. how many guests there were, where the wedding was held and of course what the bride wore. Here we have picked out some of our favourite celebrity weddings! Shame to say not all of them lasted….
William and Kate 2011
Of course we are going to start with the most anticipated wedding of 2011, the joining of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Kate Middleton took place on 29 April 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London. Everyone was glued to their television screens (or if you were lucky enough out on the streets of London) waiting to catch that first glimpse of Kate in her bridal dress, designed by the London-based designer Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Kate looked stunning and the satin dress with featured an overlaid bodice and appliques skirt was a complete thumbs up, even though Pippa Middleton’s peachy bum in that bridesmaid dress was splashed all over the magazines it could never take away the attention from Kate and William that day.
Charles and Diana 1981
From one Royal wedding to another, twenty-year-old Diana became The Princess of Wales when she married The Prince of Wales on 29 July 1981 at St Paul’s Cathedral . The fairytale wedding was watched by 750 million on their televisions while 600,000 people lined the streets to catch a glimpse of Diana en route to the ceremony. Now what we love most about this wedding is not particularly Diana’s dress as it is a bit like a meringue for our taste but the 25 foot train that followed behind it! We do not know how she managed to pull that along, maybe she was in the gym weeks before training with weights on her ankles and waist! Who knows!
David and Victoria 1999
‘Posh and Becks’ are not royalty but they might as well be, sitting on the thrones at their wedding on the 4th July 1999. The wedding took place at Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland. I’m sure looking back at these photos Victoria may have done a few things differently, we can’t help but think she looks like a mannequin, the hair looks like a spider propped on her head, and that crown! Really? Her style has definitely got better with age.
Peter and Abbey 2011
As one of the highest profile footballer-WAG couples in the UK, they could have commanded a seven-figure sum for an exclusive magazine deal. But Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy made a refreshing statement by happily posing for assorted photographers as they married in Leicestershire. We have picked this footballer’s wedding out of the bunch all down to Abbey Clancy. The Liverpudlian model has just got it so right! She went for a more relaxed bridal look with a simple Giles Deacon gown, with her hair in loose tousled waves and she looks gorgeous and so natural. She stands out still by steering away from the traditional bridal make-up and has instead going for dramatic smoky eyes and vampy red nail varnish.
This marriage is unforgettable for not really the best reasons….Kim Kardashian famously filed for divorce from the New Jersey Nets star after just 72 days of marriag!. Their wedding was one of the biggest, most over the top celebrity weddings we have ever seen, costing a whopping 10 million the couple made the money back and more in the few short days of marriage! Kim was even gifted three Vera Wang wedding dresses to choose from on her big day at $20,000 a pop. Just shows money doesn’t buy you happiness.
Longtime couple Nicole Richie and Joel Madden decided to end 2010 with a bang by tying the knot at Lionel Richie’s Southern California estate. After being escorted down the aisle by her famous father, Nicole and the Good Charlotte frontman were officially wed by a very special minister: the Reverend Run, the Run-DMC rapper. Not so sure about Nicole’s dress we can’t help the resemblance between the skirt and a Pomeranian dog!
Kate and Jamie 2011
Everyone was glad to see Kate finally hitched to her Rock n Roll hubby James Hince. Kate looked stunning in a vintage-style cream dress and matching floor-length veil designed by John Galliano. We just love the whole styling of this wedding; all the 15 bridesmaids with flowers in their tousled hair and their gypsy style neckline dresses with matching ballet pumps. The whole event was very hippy and flowery and we just loved it!
Brad and Jennifer 2000
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston meet in 1998 and later married in a private wedding ceremony in Malibu on July 29, 2000. It seemed it was the perfect wedding, the perfect marriage and they were considered a rare Hollywood sucess, however in January 2005 Pitt and Aniston announced that they had decided formally to separate after seven years together. Not that anyone got excited about Brad being back on the market as it wasn’t long before he was snatched up into the claws of Angelina Jolie. Enough of that, what we really want to discuss here is of course Jennifer’s hair at the wedding! Has to be said the best wedding do we have seen yet!
Jordan and Peter 2005
This is an example of how celebrities can get it oh so wrong. Jordan and Peter married in September 2005, at Highclere Castle, Hampshire. This was a so called fairy tale wedding with a carriage, prince charming and a tiara fit for a princess…erm we think it looks more like a marshmallow has been sick everywhere. Peter’s extensions are a big no no, Jordan’s massive mop of fake hair is a no no, infact the whole thing is a no no. One big celebrity stunt to make money!
This is how weddings should be done….
William and Lindsey 2012
Our very own Menswear Assistant Manager, William Ward and the now Mrs Lindsey Ward; they know how to do a wedding properly! In a bath….
